Parishioners Liturgy Letter

Dear Holy Child Jesus Parishioners,

Holy Child Jesus Parish is doing extensive facilities work on our campus. We are also enriching our liturgy, spirituality, and ministry. In the past few months, we have undertaken the following.

Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help – A Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help is prayed every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in church. Mass is offered after the Novena on the first Wednesday of every month.

Adoration and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament – Adoration and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament takes place in church every Friday at 7:00 p.m.

First Friday – Beginning on Friday, May 7, and every first Friday of the month thereafter, Holy Child Jesus Parish will have Silent Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in church after the 8:00 a.m. Mass until 6:45 p.m. We invite you to sign-up between these hours to have a Holy Hour with Jesus. Mass will follow at 7:00 p.m. There is a sign-up sheet at the back of the church or online through SignUp Genius

Saturday Rosary – The Rosary is prayed every Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in the back of church on Mary’s side.

All Holy Child Jesus parishioners are invited to join any or all of these devotions!

Religious Education – Holy Child Jesus Parish has a total of 162 students in our Religious Education classes. Thirty-seven students will be receiving their First Communion on June 6, 2021 at the 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Masses. Thirty-two Confirmandi will be confirmed on Pentecost, May 23 at the 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Masses. Thank you to all who are supporting our youth as they grow in knowledge and faith.

RCIA Rites of Initiation – Holy Child Jesus Parish welcomed five catechumens who were newly baptized, confirmed, and received First Communion, one candidate received into full communion with the Church, confirmed and received First Communion, one candidate confirmed, and five candidates who were confirmed and received their First Communion at the Easter Vigils on April 3, 2021. Thank you to all for your support in their journey of faith.

Sunday Youth Mass – All parishioners are invited to attend the Sunday 1:30 p.m. Mass. Our youth and young adults are engaged in ministries such as greeting, ushering, and proclaiming Scripture. You may often hear that young people are the future of our Church. But even more importantly, young people are the present, the here-and-now! It doesn’t matter how young or how old we are. We can all learn from and teach each other.

The Future – We know that much has changed for all of us. Change can be difficult. Let’s welcome each other every time we come together in worship, in prayer, in our spiritual practices, in our actions. Let’s continue to dream together as we celebrate both our unity and our diversity.

What is your dream for Holy Child Jesus Parish?

See, I am doing something new!
Now it springs forth, do you not
perceive it?
